I was just wondering if all the ingredients are encapsulated in the nanosomes..it seems the cactus extract is the "base"?

I'm also wondering if you've thought about coming out with another shampoo..maybe using the ingredients of one or some of these topicals. I know you've said in the past that if one were to custom order such a shampoo..the price would be prohibitive.

Hello Only Natural,

scalpXtreme™ indeed contains special extracts of Opuntia ficus-indica as an essential part of the formulation base with remarkable features for scalp. Resveratrol, ethyl creatine, and gamma oryzanol are predominantly encapsulated in Nanosomes™. Opuntia ficus-indica and saw palmetto extracts as well as the other active ingredients are encapsulated in varying ratios between Nanosomes™ and our nano-emulsion type Dispersicles™ (a unique form of nano-spheres). This double nano-emulsion form of encapsulation adds enhanced penetration features to the actives in the formulation.

A shampoo can be formulated to cost high or low, depending on the type and concentration of ingredients. A high cost, for special ingredients that the shampoo will wash away after just a few minutes, is usually unreasonable. A reasonably-priced shampoo is possible only when hundreds of thousands of units are sold at the same time, using very inexpensive ingredients. A more cost-effective way to expose scalp briefly to a potentially-beneficial ingredient is to use a separate topical serum or cream as a shampoo additive rather than creating a new shampoo around it; hot water opens pores, so mid-shampoo can be a great time to apply any topical. This is how we suggest using our Dander-Nil shampoo additive. Wet hair and get a lather going, then apply a bit of the topical and massage it in along with the shampoo, then eventually rinse it all away. Shampoo will destroy any special vehicles, so all that will be available are the topical's ingredients.

We might offer other special-purpose shampoo additives like Dander-Nil, but a new shampoo is still not feasible at this time but maybe in the foreseeable future.

Thanks for the response. I'll end up trying the new product eventually- maybe after the new year.

And I think I'll focus on topicals rather than worrying about a new shampoo or shampoo additive.  Wink
